Autumn Arts Workshops

Get creative this Autumn with our creative workshops happening at the Red Hackle Pub, Perth Avenue, Jarrow NE32 4HT
All are welcome, but residents of Jarrow and Bede ward are especially encouraged to take part.
No experience necessary, all materials provided - come along and give it a go!

All workshops are free, though a £2 voluntary contribution is encouraged.

Wednesday 30th September and 7th October - Textiles with Kerry Cook from The Art Room
Weaving the Sea - create a coastal-themed wall hanging
Wednesday 14th & 21st October - Oil Painting with Theresa Poulton
Come along, look at some brilliant art, have a chat about what makes it work – and then have a go at discovering what you can do with the ideas yourself. These sessions will take inspiration from the work of artist Amy Sherald.
Wednesday 4th November - Festive Clippy Mat with Kerry Cook from The Art Room

Go and See
Our Go and See programme offers people living in Sunderland and South Tyneside the chance to experience the best arts and cultural events happening across the North East and beyond - at an affordable price with transport sorted.
We’re working with theatres, galleries, festivals and artists to gain access to special events, back stage tours and discounted tickets for people living in our areas.
Transport is usually included, sometimes food, as well as the opportunity to see something different, explore a new place, and visit venues, festivals, events, and places you haven’t before.
Tickets are offered at either no or heavily discounted cost, meaning that a trip that might usually be totally out of your budget is now accessible.
We have previously had Go and See visits to see shows, exhibitions, and events at Sunderland Empire, The Customs House, The Edinburgh Fringe, The National Gallery and many more.
