Challenging Stigma Art Workshops
Starting on the 4th Aug, every Tuesday 10am-12pm ending on the 8th Sep
Working with our friends at Public Health South Tyneside, we’re running art workshops in Hebburn for six weeks starting on Tuesday, August 4 from 10am to 12 noon, then every Tuesday up until Tuesday, September 8.
The sessions will take place at St. John's Church Hall, Canning Street, Hebburn. The first session is glass fusing, and all sessions are free and all materials are provided.
The sessions are aimed at local people, living in South Tyneside, who are facing multiple disadvantages around challenges such as mental health, physical disabilities, substance use, housing issues, etc.
After the six workshops the hope is to work as a group on an Anti-Stigma creative campaign the group will co-design.

Go and See
Our Go and See programme aims to ensure that people living in Sunderland and South Tyneside get the chance to experience the best arts and cultural events happening across the North East and beyond.
We’re working with theatres, galleries, festivals and artists to gain access to special events, back stage tours and discounted tickets for people living in our wards.
We hope that Go and See will help encourage people to experience something new without having to worry too much about the cost of tickets or transport.
We have previously had Go and See visits to theatre shows at Sunderland Empire, The Customs House, The Festival of Thrift, The Northern Children’s Book Festival at MIMA and more.
