Sunderland Headlight
Sunderland Headlight is a service user led Mental Health organisation. The charity provides support to those experiencing mental health issues, and offers a range of services and activities, to enable individuals to step on the road to recovery and independence. Sunderland Headlight offers a weekly timetable of groups and activities, a Generalist Advice Service, a Listening Session Service, weekly Wellbeing Check in Calls, and Social Sessions throughout the week which help to reduce social isolation for those with affected by poor mental health
What’s been happening:
Sunderland Headlight is aiming to integrate arts and creativity sessions into their services for their users dealing with mental health issues. Service users have worked with animator Scott Tyrell to develop a new short animation which was developed through the stories that the service users shared and their own experiences and journeys with mental health.
