Introducing our Bitesize Commission, Just One More

Theatre makers Hannah Walker and Rosa Postlethwaite create performances that feature frequently overlooked social issues.

In 2024 they toured GAMBLE, a performance based on Hannah’s relationship with her partner, who is currently in recovery with a gambling addiction. The show aimed to help people affected by gambling harm realise that they are not alone.

GAMBLE received support through Nibbles; small commissions co-created with communities and local organisations to explore relevant themes. Artists and performers bring their knowledge and skills to develop and trial these ideas.

Now Hannah and Rosa are back with a new project, Just One More, supported through our Bitesize Programme. This builds on the work done with GAMBLE, and focusses on the real experiences of those directly and indirectly affected by gambling addiction.

Hannah and Rosa will lead a series of workshops with organisations and groups in Sunderland who are affected; both personally and by witnessing it in others. The work with groups is starting now and will culminate in a performance in February 2027.
