Grubbins Wood by Timbadash Theatre

A sensory and immersive theatre show for young people with complex and additional needs. Presented by TimbaDash Theatre and co-created with young people from South Tyneside and Sunderland.

This summer, Fox and Mole invite you to Grubbin’s Wood...a magical wood home to creatures large and small. Mr Grubbin is the caretaker of this wood, he helps to make the woods grow. But there is a problem. The woods have stopped growing and now there isn’t enough food! So now we need your help! Come along and get messy in the mud, play in the water and feast on the fruits of the forest. We can’t wait to see you there!

“Forest Friends...we need your help!”

TimbaDash Theatre in partnership with Cultural Spring presents Grubbin’s Wood; a sensory and immersive theatre show, performed outdoors, for young people with complex and additional needs and their families. As part of this partnership we will be launching our ‘Forest Friends’ programme; a series of creative workshops that explore themes around nature, growth and connection. The workshops will allow us to work closely with young people with additional needs to help co-create the show. We will be working with the Waves Support Group at Bilton Hall and The Old Rectory to deliver the Forest Friends programme.

Funded by Cultural Spring, Arts Council England, South Tyneside Council and UKSPF
